The pansy is a garden flower that takes its name from the French word “pensée” meaning “thought”. This name was chosen as the flower was often used as a symbol of remembrance. The petals of pansies have dark blotches that often appear to form the outline of a face.

6A Suga and Jung Kook’s band : BTS

Min Yoon-gi is a member of the K-pop boy band BTS. He is better known by his stage name “Suga”, and also by his solo artist name “Agust D”. Like all able-bodied South Korean men, Suga is required to complete military service. He began his service in September 2023, performing duties as a social service agent rather than an active-duty soldier, after being deemed unfit for active combat due reportedly to a shoulder surgery he had in 2020.

Jeon Jung-kook, who uses the stage name “Jung Kook”, is a South Korean singer and the youngest member of the K-pop group BTS. At exactly 13 years old in 2011, he auditioned for the South Korean talent show Superstar K3 and, despite an early elimination, received immediate casting offers from seven different entertainment agencies. He debuted as a member of BTS just two years later.

“Pete the Cat” is an extensive series of children’s books that originated in 1999 when artist James Dean adopted a scrawny, real-life black kitten from a Georgia shelter and named him Pete. Dean’s drawings of Pete caught the attention of musician Eric Litwin at an Atlanta art gallery nearly a decade later. Litwin composed a folk song to accompany one of Dean’s paintings, which led to the first book being published in 2008, “Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes”, illustrated by Dean with text by Litwin.

In most parts of the English-speaking world the pronunciation adheres to the original French, but here in most of North America we go with “coop”. The original coupé was a horse-drawn carriage that was cut (coupé) to eliminate the rear-facing passenger seats. That left just a driver and two front-facing passengers. If the driver was left without a roof and out in the open, then the carriage was known as a “coupé de-ville”.

Ribonucleic acid (RNA) is an essential catalyst in the manufacture of proteins in the body. The genetic code in DNA determines the sequence of amino acids that make up each protein. The amino acids are then formed into proteins by ribosomal RNA. An added complication is that small changes in the sequence of amino acids specified by DNA sometimes take place in a process known as RNA editing. This RNA editing occurs after the nucleotide sequence has been transcribed from DNA, but before it is translated into protein.
